Manual Therapy
A variety of joint and soft tissue mobilization techniques are utilized throughout the course of rehabilitation. The series of passive movements at the joint complex at varying speeds and amplitudes are used to reduce pain and swelling, improve tissue mobility and range of motion, and promote healing. passive movements to the joint complex at varying speeds and amplitudes. create restrictions, trigger points, and pain when a lengthy inflammatory process is present resulting in new strands of disorganized tissue. Implementation of specific soft tissue techniques, by manipulating tissue, can decrease the disorganized tissue, improve healing and physical function.Joint mobilization is a therapeutic technique used to restore optimal motion, function, and reduce pain by applying To prevent compensations, a joint need to roll, glides, or slide without restriction to achieve full motion in a functional movement. Multiple joint mobilization techniques are utilized throughout the course of rehabilitation to optimize joint mobility, restore motion, and improve functional performance.
Neuromuscular retraining
Retraining at the neuromuscular level; how the nerves and muscles work together; is necessary for efficient and coordinated movement. This includes improving muscle activation, reducing inhibition, and facilitating motor control to reduce compensations and promote free movement without fear of reinjury.
strength & MObility
A focused program is designed based on the specific impairments found during the evaluation. To maximize efficiency, a few “best” exercises are selected, very clear education, and handouts will be provided. Each session, your home program will be re-evaluated and modified based on your individual response. Specifying the best individual exercises, improves compliance and retention to incorporate into your daily workout or routine.
Implementing a custom home program is vital for management of symptoms, progress between sessions, maintain gains after alleviation of symptoms or to reduce reinjury.
